Jadran Heritage Hotel 5*, Valamar Collection, has opened on the Poreč waterfront – a new boutique hotel located in the restored historic building of the former Hotel Jadran from 1913. The hotel also houses the long-awaited JAZ by Ana Roš restaurant, a distinctive young dining concept created by one of the world’s most acclaimed chefs and holder of three Michelin stars. The concept blends high gastronomy with a relaxed atmosphere, with a menu based on seasonal and locally sourced ingredients.

Located on the hotel’s ground floor, JAZ by Ana Roš is designed as an open and vibrant space that follows the daily rhythm of the city and is accessible not only to hotel guests but also to the local community, further positioning Jadran as a new meeting place on the Poreč waterfront.

Located in the heart of the old town, Jadran Heritage Hotel has been conceived as an intimate and elegant boutique hotel with 12 exclusive designer rooms. The interior combines original architectural elements with modern design and artistic details, highlighting the hotel’s distinctive character and historical value. Each room has been designed as a unique unit and, instead of numbers, carries its own name and story inspired by the history of Poreč, its rhythm and its life by the sea.

Names such as Lungomare, Kartolina and Meer und Leben evoke different layers of the city’s identity and a time when sun, sea and travel were an integral part of the culture of leisure and wellbeing, while postcards served as a means of communication and connection. Through this subtle storytelling, a stay at Jadran goes beyond the classic hotel experience and represents a contemporary interpretation of one of Poreč’s most important architectural and social landmarks – deeply rooted in the identity of the place, its gourmet offer and the culture of life by the sea.

By opening Jadran Heritage Hotel, we wanted to bring new life to one of the most recognisable buildings on the Poreč waterfront and create a space dedicated both to guests and to the city itself. Jadran has been envisioned as a vibrant meeting place where history, contemporary design and an outstanding gastronomic offer naturally complement one another. Our collaboration with Ana Roš and the JAZ by Ana Roš restaurant concept further confirms our long-term focus on developing Poreč as a year-round gourmet destination,” said Željko Kukurin, President of the Management Board of Valamar.

Ana Roš emphasised that JAZ by Ana Roš in Poreč holds a special place in her personal and professional story: “JAZ by Ana Roš is conceived as a space without rigid rules, a place where people gather for food, conversation and a sense of togetherness. Istria has been part of my culinary language from the very beginning, and I see JAZ Poreč as a natural continuation of that story – a meeting point of sea and land, tradition and modernity, a restaurant that is lively and relaxed, yet serious about what it does.

The opening of Jadran Heritage Hotel and the JAZ by Ana Roš restaurant is part of Valamar’s broader investment in developing Poreč as a premium gourmet destination, through carefully selected collaborations with leading names from the international and regional culinary scene, as well as the development of authentic concepts that position the city as a meeting point of haute cuisine and the Mediterranean way of life.
