Modern and impressive design of the New Passenger Terminal Franjo Tuđman is aimed to give a landmark to Zagreb and support the city to fully exploit its potential as an desirable European destination in terms of tourism and business. Combined with the goal-oriented business approach it is expected further development and growth of the airport’s handling capacity, as well as the increase in the air travel demand and network of available routes.
In the past two years, nine new airlines were welcomed to Zagreb, which definitely increased the competition and improved the flights offer, regarding both new destinations and number of frequencies to existing destinations.
