The third edition of the international Dalmatia Boat Show, taking place from 16 to 19 April at Marina Baotić, confirms the growth and international relevance of this event, organisers said today at a press conference in Seget Donji.

This year’s edition brings together 180 exhibitors from Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Italy, Austria and Germany, along with more than 200 vessels displayed both on land and in the water.

Special emphasis has been placed on nine premieres, including the Absolute 70 Fly, Absolute Navetta 53, Bali 5.2, Hanse 590, Pardo 43, as well as a range of attractive RIBs and day boats.

We are especially pleased that this year important international exhibitors who had not participated before are joining us, which confirms the show’s growth and importance. We continue to invest in its development and enhancement – from expanding capacity to improving the quality of the programme – with the aim of making Dalmatia Boat Show an even stronger platform for the nautical industry and concrete business results“, said Željko Baotić, owner of Marina Baotić and initiator of Dalmatia Boat Show.

Promoting Seget, Dalmatia and Croatia

Stipe Čogelja, Deputy County Prefect of Split-Dalmatia County, congratulated the organisers on the outstanding staging of the show.

Dalmatia Boat Show strongly reflects the development priorities of Split-Dalmatia County through four key pillars – an inclusive, excellent, green and digital Dalmatia. We particularly highlight the importance of excellence in nautical tourism and the development of a strong boating culture, which is essential for the sustainable and high-quality development of the destination“, said the Deputy County Prefect.

At the conference, the organisers stressed that one of the show’s strategic priorities is to promote Seget Donji, Dalmatia and Croatia as a premier nautical destination, with a strong emphasis on sustainable tourism and a responsible relationship with the sea.

With the start of departures from our marinas, the tourist season also begins and, according to current indicators, it is showing growth of around 10% compared with last year. Our focus is on the quality of the visitor experience – and Split-Dalmatia County, with its excellent infrastructure and nautical offer, is increasingly confirming its position as one of the most attractive destinations in the Mediterranean, with continued growth in demand and further investment in the development of the nautical sector“, said Ivana Vladović, Director of the Split-Dalmatia County Tourist Board.

Ivo Sorić, Mayor of the Municipality of Seget, said that Marina Baotić is an exceptionally important infrastructure asset and environmentally conscious facility for Seget.

Marina Baotić and Dalmatia Boat Show further strengthen Seget’s position as a destination for quality and sustainable tourism, while supporting the development of the local economy and related infrastructure. The Municipality of Seget will continue to provide strong support for projects like this that contribute to the promotion and long-term development of the destination“, he said.

A relevant industry event

Events such as Dalmatia Boat Show are an important driver of the nautical sector and the start of the season. Through professional gatherings and cooperation with the industry at this show, we are focused on identifying challenges and further improving the sector’s competitiveness in the period ahead“, said Joze Tomaš, President of the Croatian Chamber of Economy – Split County Chamber.

Alongside the business and exhibition segment, visitors can also expect an extensive accompanying programme. On Saturday, 18 April, the American Muscle Cars Show will feature 20 vehicles, along with the presentation of the Zaza collection by fashion designer Anamarija Asanović.

Sunday’s programme, on 19 April, includes an underwater clean-up action in cooperation with the Sveti Roko diving club from Bibinje, an educational workshop for children titled „Marine Organisms in the Adriatic“, and an Optimist class training regatta organised in cooperation with the sailing club from Trogir.

Further confirmation of the quality and international recognition of Dalmatia Boat Show as a relevant event in the nautical industry comes from its admission to the International Federation of Boat Show Organisers, the global association of boat show organisers.

Joining this prestigious federation is a major recognition for us, but also confirmation that Dalmatia Boat Show meets high international standards of organisation and quality. It opens up additional opportunities for networking with the world’s leading boat shows and for further strengthening Croatia’s position on the global nautical map“, said organising committee member Aleksandra Bujević.
