New edition of MEETEX held with a focus on the H2H approach and the social impact of the events industry

The international luxury tourism B2B trade show Private Luxury Split 2026 took place from 10 to 13 May at the Le Méridien Lav Split hotel. The event was organised by Private Luxury Events and the Taste Dalmatia DMC travel agency, with the support of the Croatian National Tourist Board, the Split Tourist Board and the Split-Dalmatia County Tourist Board.
The event brought together 280 leading experts from the luxury tourism industry, including international travel agents, DMC companies, hotel brands and investors from across the globe.

Over the course of three days, a total of 6,500 meetings were held between luxury tourism service providers and international buyers, aiming to develop new business partnerships. Alongside the business and networking elements of the programme, participants had the opportunity to discover the destination through carefully curated private experiences, whilst Fam trips were organised for a select group of foreign agents both before and after the main event.
By hosting the trade show, Croatia showcased its offering and strengthened its position as an attractive destination in the luxury and premium travel segment on the global market. Staging an event of this nature is of paramount importance for positioning Split, the Split-Dalmatia County and Croatia as a whole as a destination focused on sustainable premium and luxury tourism.

Alongside the Croatian National Tourist Board, Croatia's luxury and premium tourism offering was presented at the trade show by the Split Tourist Board, Impresia Hotels, Taste Dalmatia Split, Maistra Hospitality Group, Hotel Ambasador Split, Hyatt Regency Zadar, Le Meridien Lav, Maslina Resort, Molum Resort, The Wandering Fig, Travemo Club DMC, Vila Nai 3.3 and Lošinj Hotels and Villas.

According to organiser estimates, the international buyers participating in events of this kind book travel worth an average of more than €2.5 million annually, while the average package value amounts to €9,500 per person for a seven-day trip.
