Villa Argentina has reopened its doors following a comprehensive renovation of one of Dubrovnik’s most iconic hotel complexes. Located close to Dubrovnik's historic old town, the hotel combines contemporary Croatian architecture and design with carefully preserved cultural and artistic heritage, Mediterranean gardens and spectacular views of the city walls and the Adriatic Sea.
The renovation encompassed over ten thousand square metres. Together with Villa Orsula, the renovated complex now features 109 rooms and suites, blending its distinctive historical character with the highest standards of luxury hospitality.
Villa Argentina also joins The Leading Hotels of the World collection, which brings together more than 450 independent luxury hotels across over 80 countries worldwide. Through this membership, Villa Argentina joins a select global community of hotels defined by authentic character, uncompromising excellence in service and a commitment to creating unique experiences for every guest. Membership in The Leading Hotels of the World further confirms Villa Argentina's position among the leading names on the international luxury hotel scene.

The renovation of Villa Argentina meticulously connects its artistic and architectural heritage with modern design and a signature Mediterranean ambiance. Among the hotel’s most significant artistic features is the restored mosaic "Dubrovnik Variations" from 1967 by the renowned painter Ivo Dulčić, which has been returned to its original place in the wellness area. The interiors reinterpret Dubrovnik’s architectural tradition in a modern key through the use of natural materials, primarily stone and wood, accompanied by carefully selected colour accents. Special attention was paid to preserving the historical gardens and existing vegetation, incorporating approximately 14,000 plants into the landscape design. Local stone discovered during the renovation was repurposed across various locations within the complex.
The reconstruction project was led by the renowned Croatian architectural firm 3LHD, responsible for the architectural design and interior design of the hotel. Studio 3LHD and the Adriatic Luxury Hotels team collaborated with the internationally acclaimed Dimore Studio on textile decoration and decorative elements, giving the interiors a refined final layer and a distinctive character.
