According to data from the Croatian National Bank (HNB), in the second quarter of 2026, revenues from foreign tourists amounted to 3 billion and 641.7 million euros, representing an increase of almost 4 percent compared to the same period in 2025, i.e. 132.7 million euros more revenue was generated. Overall, in the first half of 2026, revenues from foreign tourists reached 4 billion and 587 million euros, representing a growth of almost 5 percent compared to the same period in 2025, which is 212.4 million euros more.

Additionally, the positive results of the tourism year were supported by strong growth in domestic tourism. The first six months saw a record 1.5 million arrivals and 4.2 million overnight stays by domestic tourists, which is 7 percent more arrivals and 6 percent more overnight stays than the year before.

"Excellent indicators in the pre-season are the result of strong strategic and promotional activities that we adapted to market changes, thereby continuing the positive trends of Croatian tourism even in this exceptionally challenging year. If we compare these financial results with 2016, revenues from foreign tourists grew by 120 percent, both in the second quarter and in the first half of the year. In the first six months of this year, 2.5 billion euros more in revenue was generated than in the same period of 2016, while revenue in the second quarter was two billion euros higher compared to the same period ten years ago. In line with all our strategic goals, we are permanently changing Croatian tourism for the better across all segments," emphasized the Minister of Tourism and Sport, Tonči Glavina.
