Hotels Olympia Vodice: a reliable partner for business events on the Adriatic

For FMTG, 2025 was a year of growth, further development and clear strategic decisions. At the same time, it was marked by a special milestone: FMTG and Michaeler & Partner celebrated their 30th anniversary. Three decades of entrepreneurial spirit, innovation and consistent development continue to strongly shape the group's positioning on the European tourism market. We present an overview of the new Falkensteiner brand strategy.
Operational results in the Falkensteiner Hotels & Residences segment in 2025 improved once again across the entire group compared to the previous year. At the same time, work continued consistently on enhancing quality standards and developing properties.
Portfolio expansion, strategic investments and sustainable development marked FMTG Group's 2025
The opening of Falkensteiner Hotel Bozen WaltherPark in summer 2025 further strengthened the group's presence in South Tyrol. A special highlight is the collaboration with the renowned gastronomic concept Mochi: the restaurant located on the sixth floor was named the best Asian restaurant in the region and has quickly become one of Bolzano's leading culinary destinations.

By signing a management contract for the Alpine Palace hotel in Saalbach-Hinterglemm, FMTG made a significant step in one of Austria's leading alpine destinations. At the same time, this is the group's first property in the federal state of Salzburg. The project is part of the strategic positioning in the 5-star hotel segment, with an opening planned for 2027.
The sale of Falkensteiner Hotel Belgrade enabled the full repayment of COFAG financing. The total amount of 30 million euros was repaid according to plan by the end of 2025, thereby economically closing the special pandemic-related financing segment.
In the financing segment, FMTG Invest reached an important milestone in 2025: through the crowdinvesting platform, more than 100 million euros in capital was raised for the first time. Particularly noteworthy is the increased share of women among investors, now standing at 35%.
Expansion in the camping segment continued consistently. By acquiring Grubhof campsite near St. Martin im Kärnten – one of Europe's leading campsites – and securing the concession for Camping Klagenfurt am Wörthersee, FMTG secured two exceptionally attractive locations that will be sustainably developed in the coming years.
In the anniversary year 2025, Michaeler & Partner successfully secured and realised numerous projects. In addition, the publication of FMTG's first Sustainability Report represents a key milestone in implementing the ESG strategy across the entire group.

Employee development and training
In 2025, FMTG further intensified its focus on employee development and education. Currently, 32 young talents – so-called Falkensteiner Youngstars – are being trained with the support of structured programmes. Successes at the JuniorSkills Carinthia competition, recognition as the "Best Employer for Apprenticeships in Austria" and the HR Award 2025 for the digital onboarding tool Escape the Company confirm the high importance of education and training within the group.
Outlook for 2026: Focus, clarity and development
The Falkensteiner brand has grown significantly in recent years and today encompasses numerous categories and quality levels. Therefore, in 2026 FMTG is consciously taking a step towards greater focus: going forward, only 4-star superior and 5-star hotels will be managed under the Falkensteiner brand. The goal is a clear and consistent brand image, with emphasis on premium wellness, relaxed luxury and exceptional experiences.
The strategy will be complemented by the new club concept Club Funimation by Falkensteiner. In January 2026, one of Sardinia's most renowned resorts will be added to the portfolio.
These steps form the core of the group's growth strategy and further strengthen the brand promise in international competition.
In addition to two planned hotel openings in Italy – Falkensteiner Resort Lake Garda and Falkensteiner Resort Sicily – two more openings are planned, to be announced in January.
Branded Residences
Another strategic focus remains the Branded Residences segment. In 2026, Falkensteiner Residences in Salò and Falkensteiner Residences in Punta Skala will open. Sales of apartments in Salò and Punta Skala are exceptionally strong, with demand exceeding all expectations. As a result, construction of phase two in Salò will begin as early as 2026, along with the development of additional residences in Punta Skala.

FMTG Camping
The focus will be on launching a separate camping brand, as well as further developing selected locations into 5-star campsites.

FMTG Invest
For 2026, the investment platform plans to enter the Italian market and develop new products.
FMTG looks back on an exceptionally successful 2025 and considers itself strategically well positioned for the next growth phases. The goal remains to further solidify its role as one of the leading family hotel groups in its key markets and to expand its international presence – particularly in Italy, and in the future also in Germany.
