Hotel Summit 2026 in Dubrovnik: How AI, technology and new trends are changing the hotel industry

The eighth edition of the CRO Commerce
conference (powered by Shipshape), the largest regional conference dedicated to online retail, will take place on 13 October 2026 at the Mozaik Event Centre in Zagreb. This year, the conference once again gathers online store owners and directors, experts in digital marketing, logistics, payments and technology, as well as all others actively participating in the development of the eCommerce market. The number of participants is limited to 500 in order to enable high-quality networking and exchange of experience, and the full-day programme across three stages offers lectures, panels and practical case studies, along with numerous opportunities for sharing knowledge and making business contacts. A special emphasis is placed on quality networking, from the EXPO zone, which provides an ideal space for meeting new people and building business connections, to post-conference socialising and the party, which will round off the entire day in a more relaxed atmosphere.
One of the central themes of this year's conference will be the preparation of online retailers for Black Friday, the most important sales period of the year. Precisely for this reason, a month and a half before the most key day for online retail, we are bringing leading experts to the stage of the CRO Commerce conference to share their key advice and experiences in a panel discussion. Participating in the panel "How to prepare for Black Friday 2026" are Dijana Kladar, Dario Begonja, Goran Blagus, Marko Pačar, Robert Petković, Aron Stanić and Dino Oreški. From campaign planning and online store optimisation, through logistics challenges and inventory management, to user experience and results analysis, conference participants will receive practical recommendations from them that they can apply immediately in their business. In addition to Black Friday, the conference programme will cover a range of topical issues in digital marketing, logistics and delivery, payment solutions, legal and regulatory issues, accounting in eCommerce and the application of artificial intelligence in online retail. Special emphasis will be placed on the increasingly important role of humans in the era of AI automation, how to effectively use artificial intelligence while maintaining creativity, strategic thinking and a quality relationship with customers.
The programme is already almost fully defined and will soon be published, and all ticket information is available on the conference website conference.ecommerce.hr.
Partners of this year's conference are Manago AI, Fastserver.hr, Monri, Sirvis, SalesSnap, Box Now, Meraxes, Lesnina, Marker, euShipments.com Croatia, Hisense and many others, with the agency Shipshape being the main partner of the conference for the second year in a row.
Selling a business is not a sign of failure
"We see CRO Commerce as a place where retailers, tech companies and agencies can move away from general talk about trends and discuss what is actually happening in their businesses. This year, we are particularly interested in AI and how its widespread availability will change the way we develop eCommerce and software. If you can build an app tomorrow faster and at lower cost than today, technology itself will no longer be what sets you apart from the competition. The difference will increasingly be made by how well you understand your customer, how your processes work, how high-quality your data is and whether you know how to extract business value from all of that," points out Ernest Antolović, partner at the Shipshape agency.
However, CRO Commerce will also address a number of other topics important to the future of eCommerce, including selling an eCommerce business. Selling an online store is by no means necessarily a sign of failure; on the contrary, it can be confirmation that the owner has built a high-quality, profitable and valuable enough business in which buyers are interested. Andrija Čolak, an entrepreneur and business broker with years of experience in eCommerce, as the keynote speaker at the CRO Commerce 2026 conference, will raise a question that many online store owners think about, but which is rarely spoken about: how much their eCommerce business is actually worth and what the process of selling it looks like. He will speak about what buyers look at when evaluating a business, how valuation is formed, which figures and indicators affect the price the most and where owners most often make mistakes when they decide to sell their business. Special emphasis will be placed on the role of the business broker, who connects buyer and seller and helps execute the transaction in a structured and professional manner. "A good eCommerce business is not just one that turns a good profit today, but one that is of high enough quality and scalable so that buyers are interested in it," says Čolak.
A major novelty of this year's conference is the Zoyya meeting app, which will allow participants to easily schedule meetings with speakers. In addition, there is the EXPO AWARDS programme in which main sponsor Hisense will award a lucky winner an interactive display worth 3,000 euros.
